Annual Events include
June — Escoffier Dinner
New members are
welcomed at this dinner, which also honors our organization’s
namesake, Auguste Escoffier (1846-1935). Escoffier was a great chef
and culinary innovator, as well as a community and philanthropic
leader. His son, also a chef, died on the Titanic, and Escoffier was
instrumental in raising money for the families of kitchen workers
lost in that tragedy.
• November — Harvest
Home Reception
Prospective members are introduced at this
event, which also celebrates the bounty of the Midwest’s autumn
harvest.
• Spring & Fall — Membership Meetings
Two required membership meetings are held each
year; one is typically hosted by a member’s business, while the
other is a teleconference.
• Ongoing — Member Activities
Learning, networking, community outreach and
philanthropic activities are ongoing throughout the year.
